Defence and security technology from up to 12 countries will be presented as part of the IDEB Defence&Security exhibition Bratislava

Heavy equipment including tracked, armored and robotic vehicles, but also communication, monitoring and antenna systems, air and ground drones, weapons, artillery and tank ammunition and a number of other technologies and equipment for the armed, fire and rescue services – all of this will be during 14 – 16 May a part of the international defence and security exhibiton IDEB Defence&Security, which is one of the most important events in the field of defence and security in the Central European region. The current 11th edition will present products and services for defence and security from more than 100 exhibitors from Slovakia and 11 other countries (Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, South Korea, Hungary, Germany, Poland, United States of America, Sweden, Italy, Great Britain).

Visitors will have the chance to see news and innovations that have recently been created in this segment. These include the 120 mm AM120 self-propelled mortar from ZTS-Špecial, the Tatra Force 8×8 heavy logistics vehicle (Tatra Trucks), mobile air traffic control towers from VÝVOJ Martin, the Stribog UAS reconnaissance drone from Airvolute, and the TURRA 30 remote control tower (EVPÚ). T.O.P. AUTO Bratislava will present the all-terrain offroad INEOS Grenadier, FREQUENTIS Solutions & Services will show a digital control tower, Dräger Safety will present the latest innovations and approaches in the field of personal safety and protection (gas-tight suit, gas detector, etc.) and CZECH CAMOUFLAGE SYSTEMS will present products for vehicle camouflage. Heavy equipment will also be exhibited in the exterior where visitors will see, for example, a UH-60M helicopter, a Leopard 2A4 tank or a ZUZANA2 technology (all by the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic). The equipment of the Slovak Fire and Rescue Service will not be missing. In total, up to 200 pieces of various equipment and technologies will be exhibited during the fair.

The fair is taking part under the auspices of the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic as well as the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic. Thanks to the Ministry of Defence, visitors will be able to view the equipment of the Armed Forces and other departments.

For the first time, the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic will present itself in its own exhibition space and explain the activities of the Fire and Rescue Service, the Police Service, the Air Force and the Mountain Rescue Service. Thanks to this, defence topics will be strengthened by the no less important theme of internal security. The professional guarantor of the fair is the Security and Defence Industry Association of the Slovak Republic.

Defence, security and firefighting equipment and technologies will be accompanied by a dynamic programme. Close combat demonstrations, demonstrations of offensive activities or intervention against dangerous criminals will be performed by cadets of the Academy of the Slovak Armed Forces in Liptovský Mikuláš, members of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic and the Military Police of the Ministry of Defence.

The Fire and Rescue Service will present a demonstration focused on the handling of hazardous substances in the maximum degree of protection. At the same time, a remote-controlled automatic robotic belt machine for carrying loads will be presented. Members of the Mountain Rescue Service will show the procedure of searching for a missing person. The complete schedule of the accompanying program is available HERE.
