The International Defense Exhibition Bratislava (IDEB), which presented technologies and products of the defense and armaments industries from 17 countries, ended in Incheba on Friday, 27th August. IDEB, which is a unique platform for presentation, but also for establishing and strengthening business contacts at the domestic and international level, attracted professional as well as the general public, not only thanks to the exhibited technology, but also thanks to attractive dynamic demonstrations.
The professional guarantors of IDEB were the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic and the Security and Defence Industry Association of the Slovak Republic, while the official partner of the IDEB was Lockheed Martin company.
IDEB started on Wednesday 25th by the opening ceremony attended by the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Eduard Heger, the Minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic Jaroslav Naď, the Chief of the General Staff of the Slovak Armed Forces Daniel Zmeko and the General Director of Incheba Alexander Rozin. The ceremonial opening, which was accompanied by a low flight of aircraft over Incheba (the C27J Spartan transport aircraft and two tactical training aircrafts L39Albatros) was attended by 11 foreign delegations and political representatives as well.
Over the three days, the IDEB presented several novelties and interesting exhibits.
Lockheed Martin, a partner of the exhibition, attracted attention with the simulator of the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter.
Professionals and the general public also appreciated the dynamic demonstrations, during which the headquarters of the forces for special operations with new technologies such as quads and a helicopter were presented during all three days. There were also demonstrations by the Military Police.
During IDEB, the traditional Prix and Grand Prix IDEB awards were also given to the best of the exhibits that individual companies could submit to the evaluation.
