Thanks to the popular combination of traveling and food, Incheba Bratislava smelled like exotic heaven

Lots of inspiration for traveling experience, presentations of tourist attractions and destinations including folklore heritage, practical advice for travellers and vacationers along with gastronomic trends and novelties, food, wine and coffee from the whole world, technologies and equipment for the HoReCa segment and competitions and presentations of cooks, confectioners, bartenders and baristas – the end of January in Incheba Bratislava was all about the popular combination of fairs of travel and gastronomy ITF Slovakiatour and Danubius Gastro. The offer from 732 exhibitors from 24 countries attracted 72,812 visitors during four days. The fairs were accompanied by exhibitions dedicated to professional and amateur hunters and fishermen and all nature lovers: Hunting and leisure and Fishing and Leisure.
World experience at one place
The fair of travel presented 20 countries – all Slovak regions and neighbouring countries, traditional holiday destinations (Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Montenegro, Cyprus, Morocco etc.) along with those exotic ones (South Africa, Indonesia, Cuba, Dominican Republic) and novelties like Georgia and Moldova. Representation of countries and regions was complemented with offers from travel agencies, operators and tour operators. The main partner, the Moravian-Silesian Region from the neighbouring Czech Republic presented novelties for the upcoming tourism season. The festival of travel movies Camera Slovakia – Bubo Ball took the visitors on a world tour through engaging narratives, interesting films and wonderful pictures.
The Tourism Personality of 2019
The gala evening that took place on the occasion of opening the international fairs of travel and gastronomy ITF Slovakiatour and Danubius Gastro was a perfect occasion to award the Tourism Personality of 2019 – on 23rd January, Lenka Šprochová, the director of the Tourism Section of the Ministry of Transport and Construction SR awarded two persons: Eva Mazuchová – for her long-term activity in tourist information centre and Association of Information Centres of Slovakia and Marián Bilačič – for his long-term engagement as a tourist guide and in Slovak Tourist Guides Association.
World tastes and alluring smells
Being the decisive event in its segment, the Danubius Gastro fair presented complex range of goods for the HoReCa segment from professional appliances through furniture and packaging materials and advertisement. Besides the main partner of the fair – the Kaufland Slovakia – the fair presented also other world brands like De´Longhi, METRO, Bonduelle, Nestlé Slovakia as well as local companies, entrepreneurs and freelancers. The offer was complemented with wide range of food, wine and coffee. Coffee Town, numerous presentations and examples of art of professional cooks, confectioners, bartenders and baristas along with many colourful competitions of students from the whole Slovakia – all of this created the perfect gastronomic feeling. The fair resonated with the topics of sustainability, quality and food origin.
Danubius Gastro awards
The best exhibits of the fair that were nominated by the individual exhibitors were awarded with the prestigious Danubius Gastro awards. The jury evaluated various criteria – from ingredients, smell, colour and taste to effectiveness and manufacturing quality (in case of used technologies). Hunting and fishing exhibitions
Presentation of hunting traditions as well as wide range of high quality hunting equipment, clothing and other accessories for hunters and nature lovers – this and much more was brought to Incheba by the Hunting and Leisure exhibition. Another event, the Fishing and Leisure exhibition presented clothing, accessories and equipment for fishermen and offered tips and tricks for great fishing.
